How does my ticket purchase help Rugby For Life?

By supporting our lottery you are helping to change lives and support our RFL Club Coordinators achieve amazing things in their communities. After a full year in their roles, the outcomes of our Club Coordinators (and the trustees) at grassroots level are real and proven. Participation across our RFL clubs is increasing, at a time when the rest of New Zealand is trending downwards. Rugby For Life is changing lives! None of this would be possible without supporters like you.

How do I buy a ticket?

You can buy on our raffle platform at this link https://app.galabid.com/rugbyforlife - you will need to register so we know who has purchased the ticket and how to get hold of you if you win. Then you can purchase the ticket using the secure payment link.

Can my tickets be emailed to me?

No, this is an online auction and once payment is complete you will automatically be sent an email with a link to the raffle item which will show your raffle ticket numbers. The tickets will also be available to review in your account on the raffle platform (Galabid).

Do I have to be a New Zealand citizen/resident?

No, you can buy tickets and win prizes regardless of your visa status. However be aware that if you do win a prize, our licences stipulate that we have to deliver prizes within New Zealand, so please be prepared to make suitable arrangements if you do win a prize but don't live here.

How are the winning tickets drawn?

On the day of the draw, the team gathers together at the published time and, supervised by a Police officer or other person of standing, we draw out the winning numbers from our raffle ‘draw machine.’ It’s got numbered balls in it that are thoroughly mixed and drawn at random. Our prize draws are open to the public, we are very happy to have guests, and the date and location is published in our terms and conditions and on the lottery tickets.

What happens if I win a prize?

We will contact you! We try to call our prize winners to give them the good news. We will also send an email or letter confirming your win. Sometimes we don't have phone numbers or email addresses for our winners, so please make sure you fill in all the details on the registration form.

Where can I find the results?

Results are published on our website, social media and emailed to ticket holders. They will also be published in the Northern Advocate newspaper by Saturday 23rd September 2023. This gives us time to contact winners, verify all prizewinning ticket purchases and follow our strict procedures.
